Beskrivelse:

En iransk film trilogi af Annette Mari Olsen som også har instrueret "Fangekoret".
Denne DVD indeholder 3 kortfilm: Mit Iranske Paradis, Fuglen der kunne spå & Bag Bjergene.

During a period of nine years the two directors regulary filmed in Iran and subsequently made three films. Onthe surface the three narratives are independent of each other, but their common ground is love and sorrow shared with the Iranian people.

My Iranian Paradise
A documentary portraying Iran's relationship to the West. One of the directors was raised in Iran, the daughter of a Danish engineer and a Polish survivor from one of Stalin's Gulag camps. In the film, the life of this family is reflected in the history of Iran. Through the eyes of ordinary people we experience how a person's fate can change from one day to the next, when politics and leaderships change. Contemporary Iran is uncovered through an understanding of the past.

The Bird That Could Tell Fortunes
This is a story of a boy and his beloved bird who sell fortunes from the persian poet Hafez to passers-by. The film protrays present-day Persian culture and tradition, and the expressive images draw us into the mysterious Orient.

Behind The Mountains
A documentary about two girls in a camp for Afgahn refugees in Iran. We follow them in weeks prior to their first school-day. Through the barbed wire there is a view to the mountains between Afghanistan and Iran. Expectations are high, for school epitomizes the dream of a better future.
