Hovedrollerne i denne familie-musical er besat af Disney-stjernen Ross Lynch og Maia Mitchell. De spiller et ungt kærestepar (Brady og McKenzie) og surfere, som vil tage en sidste bølge inden sommeren er ovre. Men den bølge tager dem på mystisk vis ind til en klassisk strandfest-film, Wet Side Story. Dér er det surfere mod bikere, som kæmper om kontrollen på stranden og alle begynder spontant at synge og danse.
Brady og McKenzie må forsøge at vende tilbage til nutiden, men deres liv bliver forandret for evigt, da de ubevidst ændrer filmens romantiske historie, og filmens flotte surfer-fyr, Tanner, falder for McKenzie, mens biker-pigen, Lela, er faldet pladask for Brady.

Disney Channel children's feature about two teens who get trapped inside a movie. Mack (Maia Mitchell) and her boyfriend Brady (Ross Lynch) spend their time on the beach surfing but their fun looks like it might be over when Mack is told by her aunt that it is time to focus on her education. Due to leave for college the following day, she and Brady head out to the waves one last time but are mysteriously transported into a 1960s musical called 'Wet Side Story' where two gangs - the bikers and the surfers - are at odds with each other. Mack and Brady's presence begins to change the storyline with the romantic leads falling for them rather than each other, and if they are not careful the film may also change them too. Will they be able to find their way back into the real world before it is too late? |
