Beskrivelse:

George and Mildred are the ultimate odd couple, the popular landlord and landlady from Man About The House who became a household name with Thames Television in the 1970's and 80's. Mildred, played by Yootha Joyce, is vain, snobbish and domineering - George, played by Brian Murphy, is shy, timid, frigid and henpecked - together they make a great partnership.

Episode 1:
Moving On: When George and Mildred plan a move to middleclass suburbia, Mildred is anxious to impress the new neighbours, but George would sooner be knee deep in ferrets and pigeon droppings.

Episode 2:
The Bad Penny: The Ropers meet their new neighbours and their invisible dog. George discusses politics with their local MP.

Episode 3:
And Women Must Weep: George has to get a job, there's only one snag... he isn't altogether a woman. Mildred points out he isn't all that masculine either.

Episode 4:
Baby Talk: Mildred gets rather broody and wonders whether they are too old to adopt a baby. The only alternative is 'artificial insinuation by a wossname' and George doesn't like the sound of it.

Episode 5:
Your Money Or Your Life: When Mildred finds out that George has only got a small endowment, she decides to do something about it. He isn't too happy when realises he's worth more dead than alive.

Episode 6:
Where My Caravan Has Rested: The arrival of Mildred's sister, Ethel, and her husband, Humphrey, 'The Offal King of Oxshott', leads to problems in the bedroom. So, George trades his car for a broken down caravan.
