Hometown Story
Released in May 1951, Hometown Story features a stunning young Marilyn Monroe on the brink of stardom. It is a rare glimpse of Monroe before her breakthrough roles in Niagara and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, which catapulted her to fame.. and into history!
This motion picture is the ninth film Monroe appeared in. She plays Iris Martin, a secretary whose boss (Jeffrey Lynn) is an editor of a newspaper, Lynn suspects that big business was responsible for his recent defeat in a state legislature election, and begins a campaign against his opponent and big business in general. See Monroe as her star just begins to twinkle... this Special Edition is a must for fans, collectors and film buffs.
Hollywood Remembers Marilyn
A pictorial journey through Hollywood's quintessential star's career, life and untimely death. This documentary features great footage and pictures from Marilyn's first films and early years in Hollywood, as well as segments of her entertaining the troops in Korea and singing Happy Birthday to President Kennedy. Also included are glimpses of Monroe during her marriages to legendary baseball star Joe Dimmaggio and America's famous playwrite Arthur Miller.
