En studerende og hendes kæreste findes myrdet i Rom. Kort efter findes endnu en kvindelig studerende død. Efter at have mistet to af sine medstuderende begynder den unge Daniela at frygte for sin sikkerhed, og sammen med tre veninder søger hun tilflugt i sin onkels villa på landet. Morderen synes imidlertid at have en særlig interesse i de unge kvinder, og det afsidesliggende skjulested udvikler sig hurtigt til at være en fælde, hvor ofrene isoleres fra hjælp.
