The beautiful Bo Derek shines in this tale of passion, set amongst the splendor of the Greek isles. On a small island in the Aegean Sea, not far from Athens, Damir (Peter Hooten) and Anastasia (Bo Derek) live under the roof of her grandfather. Although not blooded, they grew up happily together as if they were brother and sister. Now, as she approaches maturity, they realize that their childhood affection has grown into a deep love. With the magnificence of Greece as a backdrop and the ravishing looks of Bo as a woman in love, Fantasies is the story of that love. It is a story that will stir up the passion within us all.
John Derek filmed this movie in 1973 but it was not released until 1981. It was Bo Derek's first foray into acting and it is where John first met his soon to become wife and protege. Bo would later go on to star in Orca in 1977, but it was not until 1979 when she broke through as a major star in Blake Edwards' 10, starring opposite Dudley Moore. |
