Elefanten Jimmy er det absolutte hovednummer i Stromowskis lille cirkus. Roy Arnie passer Jimmy og holder dens humør oppe med narkotika, som han også sælger for at kunne lægge cirkuslivet bag sig. Norwegian animated feature for adults, with an English screenplay by Simon Pegg. The all-star English voice cast includes Woody Harrelson, Kyle MacLachlan, Jim Broadbent, Samantha Morton and David Tennant. The film follows four lowlifes - Roy Arnie (Woody Harrelson), Odd (Simon Pegg), Gaz (Phil Daniels) and Flea (Jay Simpson) - who are employed by Ringmaster Stromowski (Jim Broadbent) in his miserable, rundown touring Russian circus. The star attraction of the circus is Jimmy, an elephant kept 'happy' on a cocktail of drugs. But on the circus's opening night Jimmy escapes, and a cross-country escapade ensues as the circus employees try to get hold of the errant elephant before he goes cold turkey. To complicate matters further, a deranged bunch of animal activists are also hot on Jimmy's tail, not to mention the Lappish Mafia who want to get hold of a lucrative bit of information that only Jimmy knows. The beleaguered pachyderm's only chance of escape is a benevolent moose who befriends him on the road. Can he free Jimmy, release him from his addiction and save him from his army of pursuers? |
