Men så kom Polly er en skøn komedie af instruktøren og manuskriptforfatteren John Hamburg (Meet the Parents, Zoolander). Reuben Feffer (Ben Stiller – Starsky & Hutch, Vild med Mary) er risikoanalytiker i forsikringsbranchen. Hans kone forlader ham på deres bryllupsrejse til fordel for et muskelbundt af en dykkerinstruktør, og hans planer for livet og kærligheden bliver kuldsejlet. Et tilfældigt møde med en eventyrlysten barndomsven, som hedder Polly (Jennifer Aniston – Bruce den almægtige, Venner) kaster ham ud i en strømhvirvel af extrem sport, krydret mad, gnavere og salsadans ... med ustyrligt morsomme konsekvenser. In this 'opposites attract' romantic comedy from the co-writer of 'Meet The Parents' professional risk assessor Reuben Feffer has it all planned out. The wedding, the dream house, the colour co-ordination of the cushions - you name it. So catching his new bride, Lisa, leaping into the trunks of the Honeymoon scuba diving instructor comes as a bit of a shock. How could he not see this coming? He resolves to move on with his life with an even more zealous control over potential hazards. Helped by his best friend, ex-child star and most obnoxious man on the planet 'Sandy Lyle' Reuben struggles to get back in the dating game. That is until Polly Comes Along. She's kind, she pretty and possibly the most careless, dangerous, extreme risk-taking woman in New York. Suddenly Base-Jumping, Salsa dancing, and looking after a blind ferret are all on the cards. She may even be the perfect woman to help Reuben finally get over Lisa... and himself. |
