Tilværelsen ændres drastisk for en ellers ganske normal pige, da hun bliver offer for uforklarlige og overnaturlige fænomener. Som sidste udvej sendes bud efter en mand - Eksorcisten. En af 1970'ernes mest uhyggelige film, Exorcisten, om Djævleuddrivelse hos en frygtindgydende 12-årig pige, har fået en renæssance i en udvidet og opdateret version.
