Roy Munson havde engang en lysende fremtid for sig som professionel bowlingspiller.
Men det var før den slimede Ernie McCracken ødelagde det hele ved at få nogen til at stoppe Munsons hånd ind i en bowlingkugle-returneringsmaskine.
Nu 20 år senere går det ikke så godt for Munson. Herregud, det er svært nok at få arbejde, selv om man har to hænder.
Men så møder han Ishmael, en religiøs amisher, der drømmer om at nå til tops i bowlingverdenen, og Munson ser pludselig en smutvej tilbage til livet i overhalingsbanen. From the creators of the comedy smash 'Dumb and Dumber' and 'There's Something About Mary' comes this outrageous comedy about a former bowling champion (Woody Harrelson) who finds himself reduced to a sleazy, small-time hustler, thanks to a double-crossing bowling conman (Bill Murray). When the one-time champion discovers a new protégé (Randy Quaid), among the Amish of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, he thinks he's found his ticket back to the fast lane. A riotously funny trip ensues as this hysterically mismatched duo sets out to con their way to the bowling tournament in Reno, Nevada. On the way they find a secret weapon - Claudia (Vanessa Angel). She can swing a mean ball and has the best pins in the business. |
